At Corless Funeral Homes & Cremation Services,

Alyssa Corless

Owner, Funeral Director, Licensed Insurance Agent, Certified Celebrant
Alyssa was born and raised in Chippewa Township and now resides in Ambridge with her husband, Austin Turner, and stepson, Cason. A 2010 graduate of Blackhawk High School, Alyssa continued her education at California University of Pennsylvania and Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, earning a bachelor’s degree in biology and an associate’s degree in Specialized Technology. In 2016, she became a first-generation licensed funeral director and is also a licensed insurance agent. She further expanded her professional training by becoming an Insight Certified Celebrant.

In 2020, Alyssa purchased Corless-Matter Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Ambridge, continuing its long-standing tradition of compassionate care while bringing a modern and personalized approach to serving families. She later expanded her commitment to the community by adding Corless-Kunselman Funeral Services in Beaver Falls in 2024.

She is passionate about helping families create meaningful and personalized tributes that reflect the life and legacy of their loved one. She is known for her compassionate approach, professionalism, and commitment to supporting families with care, dignity, and attention to every detail.

Alyssa is a lifelong and active member of Chippewa United Methodist Church and remains involved in the community through the Chippewa Area Lions Club, Ambridge Rotary, and Order of the Eastern Star. Since 2011, she has dedicated part of each summer to serving as a counselor for teenagers at Jumonville Camp and Retreat Center adventure camp programs.

In her leisure time, Alyssa enjoys spending time with her family and spending time outdoors doing things such as hiking, camping, rock climbing, kayaking, and traveling.
