Wilber L. "Boob" Morgan Sr Obituary (1915

Wilber L. "Boob" Morgan Sr., 93, of South Beaver Township, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2008, in The Medical Center, Beaver. Born September 18, 1915, in New Brighton, he was a son of the late Clyde C. Morgan Sr. and Eva R. Beitsch Morgan. He was a 20 year U.S. Army veteran attaining the rank of Chief Warrant Officer-3 having served during World War II and the Korean Conflict, while during World War II he was a P.O.W. in the European Theatre. He was a letter carrier for the Beaver Post Office for 17 years and a truck driver for Mansell Trucking Company for nine years. He was a member of the Beaver Falls American Legion Post 261, Beaver Falls Kiwanis Club, NARFE, a founding member of "Flags Across America", and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Norma E. Morgan, South Beaver Township; three sons and daughters-in-law, Wilber L. Jr. and Patricia Morgan, Greenville, PA; Ronald G. and Judy Morgan, Canton, GA, and Terry D. and Cathy Morgan, South Beaver Township; a daughter, Deborah D. Gould, Haymarket, VA; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Clyde C. "Hen" Morgan Jr., Patterson Township, and four sisters, Ruth Mutshellar, Chippewa Township; Gloria H. Ostanowski, Patterson Township; Patricia A. Stepek, South Beaver Township, and Mary Jane Muschweck, LaPorte, TX. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael J. Morgan, in 2007; a brother, Merle H. Morgan, and five sisters, Elizabeth Groth, Ella A. Emes, Marie Stewart, Marcella Nouffer and Genorah B. "Sis" Morgan. Friends will be received Tuesday from 1 to 4 and 6 p.m. until the time of service at 8 p.m. in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunselman.com, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls. Private burial will be in Concord Cemetery, North Sewickley Township. Full military honors will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home by the Beaver County Special Unit.
