Thomas P. Andino Thomas P. Andino, 95, of Beaver Falls, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Friendship Ridge Nursing Home in Beaver. He was born on February 9, 1923 in Calabria, Italy to the late Pietro and Ortenzia (Puteri) Andino. He came to America at the age of 3 to begin his "American Dream." Tom is a member of St. Monica Roman Catholic Church (previously St. Philomena parish). He had been active in his church through the years having served as Parish Council President. He retired as a Supervisor from the Babcock & Wilcox Steel Company after 45 years. He was a U.S. army veteran serving during WWII. Tom was a member of and served in leadership capacity for various religious and civic organizations through the years, including the Serra Club and Knights of Columbus. He was recognized by various organizations for his service and was a past recipient of the Catholic Man of the Year Award. Tom was a long time board member of the Beaver Valley Federal Credit Union in Beaver Falls, retiring as a Vice-President. Very often, he would talk with great fondness of the many lasting friendships formed and the countless happy times spent with his extended family "the Credit Union." He is survived by survived by two sons & their wives: Thomas & Patricia Andino (Syracuse, NY), Dr. Ronald & Lisa Andino (Chippewa, Pa), three daughters and their husbands: Anita & Robert Pezzi (Beaver Falls), Marie & Robert Conley (Chippewa) and Diane & David Izzo (Eastvale). He is also survived by a sister-in-law: Mary (Montani) Ferrario (Oxford, PA) and two brother-in-laws: Ralph Mitchell (Beaver Falls) & Louis Ferrario (Chippewa). He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 23 nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Carolyn (Ferrario) Andino in 2003; four sisters: Carmella (Ralph) Mitchell, Margaret (Eugene) Lombardi, Delphine (Joseph) Gidaro & Carmella Andino (who died in Calabria, Italy in infancy); two brothers: Peter (Gilda) Andino & Amerigo Andino (who died in America in infancy); five brothers-in-law: Eugene (Margaret) Lombardi, Joseph (Delphine) Gidaro, Peter (Mary) Ferrario, Renzo (Dorothy) Ferrario & James (Jenny) Douds; three sisters-in-law: Gilda (Peter) Andino, Dorothy (Renzo) Ferrario & Jenny (James) Douds, and a nephew, Paul Ferrario. There will be no public visitation. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at Saint Monica Catholic Church in Chippewa with the Rev. William Schwartz officiating. Entombment will be at the Beaver Falls Mausoleum in Chippewa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to the Serra Club or the Knights of Columbus. The family would like to thank Dr. Jason Rodriquez for his excellent care through the years, the doctors and staff at Friendship Ridge Nursing Home for their kindhearted care and Father Bill Schwartz ("The Pirates Padre") for his compassionate ministry during Tom's nursing home convalescence. The Veterans Honor Guard will meet at the Beaver Falls Cemetery Mausoleum on Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. to conduct military honors.
