Salvatore "Poppi" Pacella, Jr Obituary (1947

Salvatore "Poppi" Pacella Jr., 61, of Patterson Township and formerly of Midland, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, in the Sewickley Valley Hospital. Born on Jan. 2, 1947, in Midland, PA, he was a son of the late Rev. Salvatore Pacella Sr. and Mary Coratto Pacella. He was a mathematics teacher for the PA Cyber School in Midland, a member of the New Brighton Christian Assembly, where he sang in the choir, TRAILS Ministries and a graduate of Geneva College. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Delores DeRuvo Pacella, Patterson Township; four sons and a daughter-in-law, Christopher Pacella and his friend, Kristen Pfeiffer in Rhode Island; Jonathan and Susan Pacella, Coatesville, PA; Joshua Pacella, Mount Wolf, PA and Jacob Pacella, Patterson Township; two grandchildren, Levi and Adeline Pacella; a brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Mim Pacella, Midland; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Priscilla Clark, Wellsville, OH, Debbie McFadden, Jacksonville, FL and Julie Croxall and her husband, Mike, E. Liverpool, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Philomena Dean, and two brothers-in-law, David Clark and Chester McFadden. Friends will be received Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the HILL AND KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., www.hillandkunselman.com, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls. He will lie in state on Sunday from 4 until time of service at 5 p.m. in the New Brighton Christian Assembly, Valley Ave. and Mercer Road, with his pastor, Rev. Sam DeMarco.
