S. Ruth Steele Obituary (1925

S. Ruth Steele, 85, a resident of South Beaver Township, died on Sunday, May 15, 2011, in the Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born December 18, 1925, in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late Edward C. and Susie Snair Blinn. She was a homemaker, a lifelong member of the Chippewa United Methodist Church and a member of the Jo Kriz Circle. She was an avid reader and was a member of the same card club for 60 years. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, F. William Steele, in 1993. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Wardle, North Canton, Ohio, and a granddaughter Jennifer Wardle and her husband Chris, and great-grandchildren, Stephanie and Kyle, all of North Canton, grandson David Wardle and his wife Carolina, and great-grandchildren Marcus and Mia, all of Oak Harbor, Washington, a daughter Carol Holman and her husband Bill, South Beaver Township, and grandchildren, Rick Holman and his wife Melissa, and great-granddaughter Lauren, all of Brighton Township, her granddaughter Carrie Holman, Beaver Falls, and grandson Danny Holman, South Beaver Township, a son Robert Steele and his wife Tammey, Mechanicsburg, PA, and daughter-in-law Lois Steele and granddaughter Dana Steele, both of Chippewa Township, and two sisters, Margaret Suit, Chippewa Township, and Karen Makepeace, Charlotte, North Carolina. Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hilland kunselman.com, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where a service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. with her pastor, the Rev. Rodney E. Smith, officiating and assisted by the Rev. Hengust Robinson. Interment will follow in the Beaver Falls Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to the Music Department of the Chippewa United Methodist Church, 2545 Darlington Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.
