Ruth Elizabeth (Stanford) Marx Obituary (1924

Ruth (Betty) Elizabeth (Stanford) Marx, 88, of Chippewa Township passed away April 15, 2013. Born October 14, 1924 in Alliance, OH, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur Sant Stanford Sr. and Ruth Irene (Mohler) Stanford. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Beaver Falls. In addition to her many family and church activities, Betty enjoyed camping, square dancing, playing cards, and serving church dinners. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William (Bill) Louis Marx; two brothers, Wilbur and Herbert Stanford and a sister, Eleanor Pietro. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law: Robert and Barbara Marx, Indiana, PA and Farmer's Branch, TX; John and Rayann Marx, Beaver Falls PA; Dale and Tracey Marx, Lancaster, PA; a daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie and Chris O'Kelley, Tulsa, OK; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Marx, York, PA; a sister, Doris Eaton, Rochester; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the HILL AND KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunselman.com, 3801 Fourth Avenue, College Hill, Beaver Falls. Funeral Service Saturday at 10:00 a.m., in the First Presbyterian Church, her pastor, Rev. Chris Noyes will officiate. Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Twp.
