Mathilde "Tillie" (Mathilde Hoyt) Mccune Obituary (1934

Mathilde "Tillie" R. McCune Patterson Heights Tillie McCune passed away Friday, November 8, 2013 in Providence Health Care Center, Beaver Falls. After retiring from Westinghouse Electric, she owned and operated The Finishing Touch in Beaver from 1984 to 2012. The shop provided dancewear, dance shoes, skating apparel, encouragement and support to her "Stars" and their "Chauffeurs" that referred her affectionately as "G Ma Tillie, Miss Tillie or The Ballet Lady." She was born January 3, 1934 to the late Ruth (Reinhart) Hoyt and Elby J. Hoyt. She was sister to Jay Hoyt, SC and Charles Hoyt and his widow, Leah Hoyt, UT. She was married for 23 years to the late Harry A. McCune, 1999. She was the beloved mother of the late Donald E. Bradshaw, 2001 and Barbara Austin and her husband David Austin, Beaver Falls; She was the much loved grandmother of Sandra (Austin) Roeder and her husband Ronald Roeder, Sinking Spring, PA and the great-grandmother, known as "Grady" to Paige and Brett Roeder. Many others referred to her as "grandma" including Ashlee Kelly and the McNellis children. She had many aunts, uncles and cousins in the Reinhart and Kelly families. Her cousins, Glenn Kelly, Columbiana, OH and Carolina Buddemeyer, Perryopolis, PA were especially close to her heart. She had many very special and loved friends, especially Brenda Thomas and Sandra Furka. Tillie will be sadly missed by her family, friends, neighbors and former customers. As a woman of faith, she will be sharing many memories with those in Heaven. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. till the time of service at 11:00 a.m. in the HILL AND KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunselman.com , 3801 Fourth Avenue, College Hill, Beaver Falls. Rev. Jeff Youell, Chaplain of Grane Hospice will officiate. Interment will follow in Beaver Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to the Patterson Heights Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxiliary, 600 - 7th Avenue PH, Beaver Falls, PA 15010, where she was past secretary of the Fire Dept. and Auxiliary.
