Katherine "Kate" V. Miller Obituary (1914

Katherine "Kate" V. Miller, 95, of White Twp., passed away Sat. Oct. 31, 2009 at her home. Born Sept. 23, 1914 in Beaver Falls was a daughter of the late Philip and Amelia (Putas) Vavro. She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, the Beaver County Fire Dept. Auxiliary, White Twp. Fire Dept. Auxiliary, Beaver Falls American Legion Post #261 Auxiliary and the Ukranian Club in Aliquippa. She was an employee of the former Ing-Rich Manufacturing Co. during the 40's later during the 60's she was a sales person for the former Fashion Hosiery, both of Beaver Falls. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Blair R. Miller in 1984; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Eleanor Vavro, infant brother, Philip, brother-in-law, Rufus Hofelt. . She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Porter, White Twp; a sister, Emillie Hofelt, Canton,OH; two grandchildren and their spouses, Tracy Lynn and Robert Landsbach, Beaver Falls and William and Laurie Hill, West Mayfield; and five great grandchildren, Devin, Logan, Tyler, Lindsay and Olivia. Friends will be received Tues. from 1 p.m. till time of Blessing Service at 3 p.m. in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunselman.com, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, her nephew Father Rufus Hoflet will officiate.
