Judith L. (Weidner) Volkmar Obituary (1947

Judith L. Volkmar Beaver Falls, formerly of Erie Judith L. Volkmar, 70, of Chippewa Township, Beaver Falls, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 4, 2018. Born March 27, 1947 in Portland, Oregon, she was the daughter of the late Wellmington and Marion "Grady" Swarthout Weidner. She was a member of Christ's Evangelical Lutheran Church where she had been a past council president. She received her undergraduate degree in library science from Edinboro University and her master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She had retired as head librarian at the New Brighton Public Library. She is survived by her loving daughter, Julie L. DeLuca and her companion Osvaldo Rios, Chippewa Township, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeffrey John and Ruby Weidner, Roanoke, VA, Rev. James Paul and Kristine Weidner, Hancock, MI, a foster sister, Priscilla Hutley, Jamestown, NY, a nephew, two nieces, a great-niece. Friends will be received Tuesday. January 9, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com., 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls. There will be an additional visitation on Wednesday January 10, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. in Christ's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 409-11th Street, Beaver Falls, with her pastor, Rev. Kimberly A. Rapczak officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to Beaver County Library System, 109 Pleasant Drive, Aliquippa, PA 15001 or to Crossroads Shelter, P.O.
