Janet E. (Young) Thompson Chippewa Township Janet E. (Young) Thompson, 86, died on Saturday, April 28, 2018 in the Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, South Beaver Township. Born September 30, 1931 in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Edna Schmidt Young. She was a member of the Chippewa United Methodist Church and had been active in the Chippewa Democratic Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by his husband of 65 years, Harry S. Thompson in 2013, her daughter Sandra Thompson in 1984, and her brother, John Young in 2000. She is survived by two sons, Keith W. Thompson, Ellwood City, Mark B. Thompson, Chippewa Township, her grandchildren, Jennifer Bernstein, Joe and Mylinda Bernstein, Bryce Thompson, Mark Thompson, Jr., Autumn and Greg Brandyburg, her great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Devon, Raniyah, Kamari, and Cassie, and a sister, Joan Markey. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 6 p.m. until the time of the service at 8 p.m. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com., 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, with the Rev. Gary Hilton will officiating. Private inurnment in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
