Dr. James E. Warden Obituary (1924

Dr. James E. Warden, 85, of South Beaver Township, died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009 in his home. Born May 11, 1924 in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of the late Harry and Helen Wallace Warden. He was a member of the College Hill Reformed Presbyterian Church and had been a professor of education at Geneva College before his retirement. He was always very interested in Christian education. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Jane Burgett Warden, his five children and their spouses, James and Janis Warden, Pella, Iowa, David Warden, South Beaver Township, Steven Warden, Darlington, Mark and Diana Warden, Springfield, VA, and Patricia and David Iriana, Forest Hills, PA, thirteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held in the College Hill Reformed Presbyterian Church at 10 a.m. on Tuesday with Rev. Titus Martin officiating. Private interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Washington County.
