Donald Raymond Lentz went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, May 12th, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was 34 years young.
Born July 18, 1982, he is the son of the late Raymond Lentz Jr. and Linda Stowe Lentz of Eastvale, PA. Donny got his namesake from both grandfather's, the late Donald Stowe Sr. and the late Raymond Lentz Sr. His Grandpap Donny was very proud the day he was born, knowing he carried his name. Donny grew up having a love of music, animals and cooking, traits he got from his father. He considered himself a 'jack of all trades' being a handy man in his spare time. If Donny had a goal, he stopped at nothing to achieve it. He lived with his head in the clouds, which is why he was also a pilot, graduating from CCBC in aviation.
Donny's greatest love was his children, Donny Jr. (7) of Eastvale and Paige Nicole (12) of Industry. Donny also had a niece, Sofia (5), and two nephews, Xavier (5), and Levi (4) who he would do anything for. He always wanted them to get outdoors and love nature like him. He is survived by his mother and five siblings, Christina (30), Karlie (24), Justin and Jordan (both 19), and Emily (16) and his maternal grandmother, Edna (Mae) Stowe of Eastvale and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Along with his grandfather's and father, he is preceeded in death by his paternal grandmother, Flora Lentz, Aunt Cyndi Stowe, cousin Johnathan Stowe, Uncle Neal deVyver and very close family friend, Megan Carter, whom Donny and his siblings grew up with.
We want the world to know that Donny loved everyone deeply. The only thing he wanted in life was to make everyone else happy. He would give anyone the shirt off his back. Addiction does not discriminate, and this was a tough battle on him and his family. It is comforting to know that he is no longer struggling, and that Donny does not feel the earthly demons that haunted his mind. We know his father welcomed him with open arms when his soul went to heaven. The Lord said, "My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering ,when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you. "
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hill and Kunselman Funeral Home, 3801 Fourth Avenue, College Hill, Beaver Falls, where a service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Beaver Falls Cemetery.
A gofundme.com account has been set up for Donny Lentz to defray funeral costs or donations may be made to the funeral home.
