Connie Baker Martin, 66, of South Beaver Township, formerly of Sewickley, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, went home to be with The Lord on Thursday, April 13, 2017 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.
Born February 21, 1951 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of David Baker Sr. and the late Jane Umstead Baker. She was an active member of the Beaver Valley Christian Fellowship and was a retired employee of Beaver County Head Start. She was a gentle and wonderful spirit who adored children and being generous with her extraordinary gifts of cooking, baking and helping others.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Martin III on December 17, 2011.
She is survived by four loving and devoted daughters and their families, Mary Jane Martin (her dog, Sofi), Venice, CA, Rachel and Ken Janeway, (Dillon Giocondi, Jacob and Benjamin Janeway, Sewickley, PA, Jennifer Vos, (Joshua, Oliver, and Joey), Beaver Falls, PA, Sarah and Tony Ritz, (Sydney and Rooney), Chippewa Twp. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, David and Beth Baker (Courtney Luchette, Ashley Baker, and David Baker), her sister, Lisa Baker Seymour (Henry and Andrew) all of Sewickley.
Friends and family will be received on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Beaver Valley Christian Fellowship, 903-8th Avenue, Beaver Falls, for a memorial service from 10 a.m. until noon followed by a reception and fellowship.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her and supported her beautiful life and valiant fight. 2Timothy 4:7-8.
