Carol Lynn (Freed) (Guthrie) Anderson Obituary (1960

Carol Lynn (Freed, Guthrie) Anderson, 60 years old, passed away on August 13, 2021, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. She was born December 3, 1960 to the late Martin G. and the late Mary E. Freed, (Koppel, PA). As a lifelong resident of Koppel, Carol enjoyed doing many things in the community. She dedicated many years to the Koppel Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and as a Scout Troop Leader to many of the communities' children over the years. She especially enjoyed when many of the neighborhood kids would congregate at her house, she always had words of wisdom, extra love, and food to go around. To many she became like a second mom. Someone you could always turn to. There are too many wonderful things that could be said about Carol to fit in anything less than a book, and that's just another testimony to the kind of person Carol was. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a husband of 19 years Joseph P. Pieri. She is survived by her beloved and loving husband Wilbert "Bud" R. Anderson, of Koppel. Three siblings Mark Freed, of Wampum; Darlene & James Rea, New Galilee; and David Freed, Beaver Falls. A blended family of 10 children. Michael Guthrie; Crystal & Christian Mahoney; Stacy Guthrie & Alan Marshall; Stephanie Guthrie & Michael Casciato; Robert & Marlynn Guthrie; Heather Anderson & Morgan Manuel; James & Sharon Anderson; Angela Johnson; Andrew & Kelly Pieri; and Clayton Pieri. 26 Grandchildren, William & Kyle Guthrie; Kiera, Owen, & Gina Mahoney; Landon & Logan Hensell; Kylee Jo Guthrie & Stevie Jo Canakes; Isaiah, Eddie, Colten, & Sophia Guthrie; Haley Phillips; Philip Crangi; JB & Nick Anderson; Tayia, Heather, & Russell Duncan, Haylee, & Kazier Brant; Alyssa, Lyddia, & Isabella Pieri; Danica Pieri, and a great grandchild Zander. As well as numerous nieces and nephews whom she also loved and cared deeply about.
